Let's Help Jongmoon Paul Jeong!
"Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you (Luke 6:38)."
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
for Jongmoon Paul Jeong, I am posting this urgent request at "go fund me."
Jongmoon is a Ph. D. student at Dallas Theological Seminary (New Testament Major) for more than three years. As one of his friends, I have known him in person for more than five years. As far as I know, he is a hard-working student and a good Christian.
1. Whenever DTS students called him for help, he did not hesitate and came (ride to the hospital, counseling, and etc).
2. Wherever he goes, he preached the gospel of Christ.
(On the street, restaurants, even in the fitness center!)
3. Although the financial crisis has shaken his root of life, nothing could take away his trustful heart to the Lord.
4. He is a man of prayer. Regardless of his situation, he seeks God's help and providence. He is a living example of a warrior of prayer.
5. He is one of the smartest students at DTS. He does not work on his doctoral studies for his own sake. But, he has devoted his time and effort for the sake of church and Christ.
Jongmoon has undergone a financial crisis for a long time.
1. Since he did not own enough money, he had to sell his car last year to pay off his tuition bill (SP 2019).
2. His family back at home South Korea cannot support him financially anymore. Since his mother passed away, the financial crisis has escalated as a roaring sea.
3. He had tried to get an on-campus job for a long time, but he did not any answers. (International students are allowed to work on campus.)
4. He could not pay off the tuition bill ($2,500) for last semester (FA 2019). Due to this issue, he could neither register for this semester (SP 2020) nor receive the scholarship. If he could not resolve this issue by the end of this week, he has to leave Dallas Theological Seminary. On top of that, his apartment rental bill ($600) is coming up.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Jongmoon Paul has a lot of capability to be a bright New Testament scholar after graduation. As his long-term classmate and Ph.D. companion, I saw his bright future! I firmly believe that God will use this person for His glory in the field of the New Testament.
Let's help him! Let this good seminarian run the race! I believe in the power of love in Christ.
