Let's Help Lee-Ellen Beat Cancer!

This is my beautiful sister, Lee-Ellen. She is an 8th grade teacher at Woodlawn Middle School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has recently been diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer. Originally, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014, she was Stage 3a. She endured treatment, chemo, lost her hair but thankfully went into remission. Just recently, a mammogram and biopsy confirmed a return of her breast cancer along with a tumor behind her sternum. Her cancer is now Stage 4. Lee-Ellen has a $4,000 deductible on her health insurance, and has numerous other expenses that we want her to put aside so she can focus on her treatment. Her bills are already mounting and she is so stressed.
Lee-Ellen had her port put in this past Friday and chemo will start this week. The concern is that the cancer will spread to her bones anytime because of the cancerous tumor in her chest. If that happens, the doctors said it will be palliative care only. We are praying for the right cocktail of chemo drugs so this does not happen. We believe in the power of prayer and the power of our community! We are standing strong so Lee-Ellen can beat this!
Lee-Ellen has two beautiful young daughters, Jacqueline and Maggie. This is a difficult time for everyone in her family. If you can contribute even a little, it is most appreciated. And if you believe in the power of prayer, please add her to your prayer lists at church, your community, at home, or anywhere else you can think of, God bless you all and good riddance to cancer!
