Let's move Nimba and Liberia Forward!

The main challenges in Africa boil down to leadership and Liberia is no different. With a population of almost 5 million people, most of which remain undereducated, in insecure employment, and receive little to no healthcare or social services, Liberians remain in dire need of new, quality leadership – both at the Executive branch as well as the Legislative – where accountability is critical.
Taa Wongbe, an advocate, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, is running to become the next senator for Nimba County, the second largest county in Liberia, to help build a vibrant, inclusive and prosperous Nimba and we need your help!
At ten years old, Taa and his family, like so many other Liberians, fled the bloody Liberian civil war and became refugees in Guinea and Cote D’Ivoire. Having experienced the devastation of the civil war and the hungers of extreme poverty, Taa has dedicated his life towards uplifting society’s most vulnerable.
In 2008, Taa founded The Khana Group (TKG) to positively transform lives and to create sustainable solutions across Africa by using data and cultural/local context to inform programmatic and policy decisions and develop strategies to increase social impact. Through Taa’s leadership, the firm now has four offices in Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria and the United States and has worked in over 20 African countries.
Prior to founding The Khana Group, Taa had a highly successful career in management consulting, and consulted with McKinsey, Deloitte and other consulting firms, and was Co-founder and CTO for Pangean Technologies, a technology firm that provided communication solutions and services to corporations globally. Taa was recently awarded the Business Leadership Excellence Award and inducted into the African Leadership Magazine’s CEO Hall of Fame.
Taa has a deep passion for people and believes in transformational leadership and has worked for most of his life mentoring young people, empowering women, youth and the most vulnerable in Nimba, Liberia and Africa at large. He has also delivered countless large and small victories in Liberia for the Liberian and Nimba people. For the past decade, Taa has created and been a part of numerous social impact, mentoring and community leadership programs across Liberia. From his professional work to his social advocacies, he has pushed for and seen changes in policies towards agriculture, youth employment, quality education and healthcare. His most recent feat was to secure over one million dollars in investment for agricultural projects in Nimba, which is expected to positively impact thousands.
Taa truly believes that through leadership with honesty and integrity, innovation and people-first policies, Liberia can overcome its many complex issues and become a beacon of African hope it once was.
Today, he is running and his movement, Moving Nimba Forward, has garnered thousands of followers and supporters and his inspiring message has resonated with people across the county and country at large.
We need your help. We are fundraising for this movement to support the process and the social causes we are involved with including education, agriculture and health.
