Hi, my name is Kristian Love. I am a aspiring singer-songwriter/guitarist. I was diagnosed with a DNET tumor on the frontal left lobe of my brain, its still small (2cm) and very much treatable with a (very much preferred) miminally invasive approach. The doctors at county wanted to use me as a first patient for a Intern (student) doctor because my lack of insurance and funds (:X)The county hospital wanted to do the 80s procedure method and remove half my skull, which would leave some brain damage... It was a lot to take in. So I wanted another opinion. A good friend told me about cedar sinai. When I was at cedar sinai the neurosurgeon specialist told me I have caught it at a very delicate time. So they can completely remove the tumor and I would go back to normal, without any brain damage and deconstruction of the skull. Which is very important because I want to continue to contribute my talents in music and be able to enjoy motherhood with my son who just turned 1 years old this late June. My surgery will cost approximately 225k and to be honest I only have maybe $10 to get me through the rest of the week. Though I am considered a somewhat "Well Known Artist" I am living the life of a broke street musician. I have a fundraiser show going on in my hometown Palmdale, California, August 15th &16th which will bring in a few hundred dollars.... maybe. My goal right now is to turn my fundraiser into a tour across the USA "Let Love Live". We have all been through the horrendous battle with loved ones fighting cancer, they either win the battle and have bills to pay for the rest of their lives.. Or they lose the battle and their family is left with grief and stacked medical bills. My surgery is a expensive but life saving procedure.. But what will my quality of life be if I am in debt for the rest of my life? Im hoping to do well with this tour idea and to turn it into a yearly event to help others who are also in financial need because of cancer. If we can't find a real cure for cancer that's approved by the FDA then lets at least help our own people and ease their suffering... But for now...
