HAPPY UPDATE!!!! I have turned off the donations option because Charlie's property tax has now been paid off through GoFundMe donations and a grant from VHAP (Vermont Homeowners Assistance Program). Hi, my name is Carl. I am establishing a Gofundme for my friend, Charlie Woodard, to help pay off his overwhelming property tax bill. Charlie is behind in property taxes by over $8,000. His home recently went through a "Tax Sale" on 06/02/22 at Pownal Town Hall, Pownal, Vermont. He is scheduled to lose his house in less than a year unless he pays the tax, plus an additional 12% interest. His life has been extremely difficult since the death of his wife several years ago. To make things worse, Charlie's loving dog of 13 years has just passed away. He is going through a very difficult time of need. Please join me in doing whatever you can to help Charlie Woodard, a lifelong Pownal neighbor, climb out of this awful situation. Anything you are able to do will be greatly appreciated.
