Lets all pitch in to support our friend Nate!

Hi my name is Cayce Batterson,

 

I have known Nate Yanaccone now for over 25 years. He is one of the good ones for sure. An amazing father, a dedicated firefighter/paramedic, and an incredible friend that we are all lucky to have. Nate and his amazing wife Alex have had an unfathomably challenging and painful 2021. In April, Nate and Alex were blessed with the birth of two beautiful girls, Stella and Sunny. After months in the NICU, this amazing couple had to endure the loss of one of their girls. A pain that no parent should ever have to experience.

 

Taking a break from the endless hours in the hospital, Nate went dirt biking with some close friends/colleges. One of the things that he loves to do. Unfortunately, he broke his foot that day, and eventually had to have surgery and hardware put in his foot. That night, after Nate got home, he was unable to unload his dirt bike out of his truck due to the injury. And although he did what he could to secure it, the bike was stolen. In addition to the loss of his daughter and the severe injury to his foot, law enforcement has been unable to help Nate, and it appears the bike will be a total loss.

 

I am hoping this community can come together and help one of our own. Although Nate is the kind of guy who wouldn't ask for help, he loves to dirt bike, it is one his great releases. Dirt biking is a way for him to get away and enjoy adventures with his friends. While Nate was unable to make the annual Moab trip this year, due to the girls, it is something we hope to carry on as long as us old guys can keep up. Nate deserves our help and the opportunity to enjoy life outside the NICU again. He and Alex are incredible people who always put others first. I am hopeful we can learn from their example and make a small gesture to help get Nate back out on the trail. Please help me raise enough to get Nate a new bike, and help him move forward with his life, his amazing family, and group of friends.

The hope is to make this a surprise!   Not sure we can pull it off, but lets do our best!
