- My name is Jesse wilton I am the brother in law to Rebecca
- the funds raised will be used to pay current medical invoices, medi vac invoice to get Bec home and for ongoing treatment once she is home
- Rebecca’s immediate family have asked me to manage the payments and fund on behalf of Bec, currently we have invoices of approx $250,000.
1) $135,000 approx to fly her home
2) $100,000 approx in current balinese hospital bills and medication.
The costs of what treatment she will require in Australia are currently unknown.
About Rebecca
Rebecca Ode, 36, a strong and caring, daughter, aunty and friend, urgently needs to be medically evacuated home from Bali for ongoing treatment.
After a terrible accident in Bali. Bec has been rushed to Ngoerah general hospital for brain, eye and reconstructive surgery.
Critical, but stable Bec needs the best health care possible as soon as possible which means bringing her home. As you can imagine, there are bills over $50,000 for the first few days , we are asking for your help to help her family to get her back to Australia.
Bec is currently having surgery. But, the biggest concerns are for the brain haemorrhage that she suffered and that she is expected to lose her sight or lose an eye and her face won’t be the same after reconstructive and plastic surgery.
Bec’s family are by her side in Bali and while her recovery journey is unknown we know Bec will continue fighting her best fight with her strong will and determination.
Her family are going to bring her home no matter what it takes, but to support them, we're asking for your help.
We need to make it happen as soon as possible, so the focus can be on Bec’s recovery in the time ahead. The bills are already over $60,000 for a few days in an international hospital and she may not be able to travel for weeks, so this will continue to rise. Once there is clearance to get her onto a plane, it's expected a flight to Sydney and transfers to Newcastle to be more than $120,000. Once home Bec is likely to have a long journey of rehabilitation.
We are estimating in will be close to $250,000 just to get back to Australia
It will be one step at a time, but an expensive journey, if we all pull together we can make a big difference. If you can, please donate today, every bit will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
