Let's Bring Elijah Home

Donation protected
Elijah Winston was born in New Orleans, LA, and was displaced after Hurricane Katrina.  He evacuated with family and friends to Alabama, only to find out that his mother had been displaced to Tulsa, OK.  Four months later, he was united with his mother in Tulsa where he entered the school system.  Lack of funds kept him from returning to the place he called home for many years.   On the morning of September 20, Elijah was planning to move out of his apartment because he had lost his job due to the reduction in workforce.  His mom was eager for him to move back in so that he could find another job and get back on his feet.  He was looking forward to a better life, but tragically, it was cut short when he was shot on September 20, 2017.

We are asking for help to get Elijah back home from Tulsa, so his mom can give him a proper burial that he so deserves.  His mother will be in charge of final expenses and any help would be greatly appreciated as soon as possible.  The goal of $25K will be used to get Elijah back to New Orleans and to pay for funeral and burial costs.  You will forever be in our hearts, Elijah!  We love you!
