Let's build the first pickleball courts in Uganda
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mitch Dunn and I'm fundraising for the Uganda Pickleball Association (UPA) to build the first two official courts in Uganda. While Ugandan youth in particular are drawn to the sport, they have yet to play on a proper court.
Bolstered by local groups like BanjPickleball, the UPA is working to grow the sport throughout Uganda. Our focus for the first two courts will be the Kikaaya community in the heart of Kampala. Kikaaya is known as the pickleball capital of Uganda.
The funds will be stewarded by BanjPickleball and the UPA. They will go toward building the country's first two proper courts, with mesh fencing around the courts, and a seating area for up to 200 spectators. The courts will be tarmac construction, with a traditional tennis/pickleball surface.
As the President and Cofounder of the Cincinnati Pickleball Club and the Cofounder of The Pickle Lodge, I am fortunate to live in a community with well-developed pickleball facilities. I want to help the players of Uganda, particularly youth, experience the sport as we do in the U.S. I see these first two courts as a great start.
