Let's Change Riley's Family's Life

Internet meet Riley and his mother Candace.

Riley is a 13-year-old boy who was standing outside selling chocolate bars to afford bus fare for his graduation and bus tickets since his family had their previous car stolen and recently evicted from their apartment.

Riley told me that he has to walk for an over an hour each way to school every morning and evening. No 13-year-old should have to be selling chocolate bars to afford transportation for school. Also, Riley's mother was with her son at the plaza trying to find a new job as she was handing out resumes, stating, "I'll take any job".

I surprised Riley and his mother, Candace Lee Evjen, not only with $1000, in which Candace stated that they'll be using as a deposit for rent on an apartment for them to live in, as well as food.
