Let's clear the smoke

Sharanya & Debanjan are two very loving and responsible people, always ready to help someone in need. Unfortunately, due to the recent events and devastations caused by the Marshall fire in Colorado, it is now up to us to show them some support.
After spending a decade in the Bay Area, Sharanya & Debanjan started a new life in Colorado when they moved there in 2019. They started new jobs, got involved in county and community activities and set out to build new memories together. After careful planning and overcoming several obstacles, they were ready for the next step of their lives to buy a place they could call “Home”. After several constructions delays and issues due to the Covid-19 pandemic, their home was finally built and ready to be occupied in the beginning of 2021. Around this time, they were also blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Sahana. Sahana’s paternal grandparents were not able to see and spend any time with their first grandchild until November 2021 when they were finally able to fly out of India due to the Covid-19 travel ban. They had just started to build memories in their new home as a family. This home was where Sahana first started crawling, celebrated her 1st birthday, Sharanya & Debanjan were all geared up to set up her own new room. They made it through it all with the new home, newborn child and the entire family being able to re-unite amidst the pandemic. When everything seemed to be coming together finally, it all fell apart without a moment’s notice.
The Marshall wildfire that has recently eaten up Colorado, has destroyed the homes of many, which includes Sharanya & Debanjan. They had only 15 minutes to evacuate and they were unable to take anything from their homes except for themselves. Amidst raging fires and smoke, they were able to make it out with safely with a 1-year-old child and aging parents. Their once, new home has been completely burnt to the ground and there is nothing left to be recovered. We are grateful that there were no injuries and casualties, but there is no price that can be named for the multiple memories and events and sentiments collected and curated over more than 30 years.
The sentiments and memories can never be replaced, however we can definitely help them create newer, happier memories to move on from the devastations that they are being forced to face. Sharanya & Debanjan are very caring and generous individuals who always helped others in need without any hesitation. We hope that we are able to do the same for them and support them through these difficult times. Let us clear the smoke in their life and help them breathe some positive air.
Please note - This fundraising is being hosted by Nilanjan, currently residing in San Jose, CA. Nilanjan is the brother of Debanjan. 100% of the funds donated will be available for Debanjan & family to use to re-build their lives.
