We are here to raise money for our mom and are hoping to give her the opportunity to become whole again. We gladly accept any contribution. Every bit helps as we have exhausted ourselves trying to do this privately.
My mom’s health has been surprise after surprise; here is a brief review of the last few years leading to her current overwhelming situation.
She has been quietly struggling with her health over the last 6 years. She moved to Arizona in early 2019 to find a more affordable lifestyle and a job to suit it. She has suffered many set backs in the last few months especially, and is still in a very sensitive state of recovery. She’s endured an uphill battle involving the extreme breaks of multiple broken bones, spiral fractures, life threatening infections and amputation. She has spent her savings to maintain her rent and positive balances as long as possible. It saddens us to admit that the loss of income and unemployment has left her unable to pay the mounting debts owed.
Mom has learned in recent hours that a surgical graft procedure has failed in its application to her left foot as well. Her medical condition, though currently stable, remains ever changing due to a continuing serious infection that threatens further amputation.
Mom is an incredible woman. She has managed to stay positive during this difficult period but the reality has started to set in. She has tirelessly searched for a job that will work with her new found disabilities and was indeed hired! We thought we had turned a corner with her quest for independence.
She’s been living with our family friends but they have come to a point with their own health that they can no longer accommodate and house her.
She needs to move again.
Her new job is in a different city located about 90 minutes from her current housing.
She needs to move closer to the city for continued medical support and work. She needs financial assistance to cover the costs associated with continued medical care, multiple moves, setting up a household and debt incurred over the last six years of battling illness.
