Centering Hope, Centering Black Futures

Last year,  we were all tested by the impacts of covid-19 as a community.  For BIPOC communities already living within a pandemic of racism and bias that has continued to plague our society for generations the pandemic doubled the devastation within our communities. Putting Black birthing bodies, families, and communities in a heightened state of emergency. But as a community we showed up we were able to provide essentials such as groceries, diapers, formula, and more to offer relief to many who have lost their jobs, homes, and loved ones within their communities. We were able to center hope to the broader community by creating platforms to engage doulas in centering the pregnant people they serve everyday, to continue to operate our space in the community and provide sustainable income for our staffing when resources are scarce.

You as a community showed up to Center Hope. As we continue to navigate the pandemic and center community we want you to know that racism and bias within healthcare is still a major issue, folks are still in need of constant resources, and sustainability is even more important than ever before. Our connection to one another is the guiding light that centers hope for future generations but that doesn't come without our collective consciousness towards centering equity and moving towards anti-racist medical models of care.

During Black History Month, help us continue to support and show up for our community to create sustainability and Center Hope and build a history on a foundation of community solidarity, justice, and equity.

Your funding will go towards general operating, offering free doula services to low/no income clients, and help us to continue to provide essentials.
