Let's Contribute to Thursday Night Music at FRFF!

Falcon Ridge Folk Festival is a much-beloved folk festival that has been taking place in the Northeast for a few decades. Each summer people congregate to enjoy music, dance, and community. The festival used to be a four-day festival but thanks to a freak microstorm in 2008, the fest has downsized to a three-day event. Volunteers have stepped forward to put on a show for the early campers on Thursday Night since that time. Many musicians have played the stage and were rewarded with a free camping pass for the weekend thanks to the directors of the festival.
This year we'd like to offer each musician who will play on the Thursday Night Music Stage some additional compensation for their time and talent. It's no secret that it's been tough for working musicians to get paying gigs and still have enough money left to pay for gas and lodging. It's only fair that we not take these musicians for granted and pay them for their work (and it is work) on the Thursday Night Music Stage. This idea has been tossed out on the Friends of Falcon Ridge Facebook page and it seems to have been embraced thoroughly. We hope that you'll consider contributing.
Let's put our love of music into action and help support the artists who will be entertaining us on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Falcon Ridge on the grounds of the Goshen (CT) Fairgrounds.
