Ryan's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
August 13, 2023, is a day that will forever be remembered by Ryan Swartz and his family. On this unfortunate day, Ryan suffered a tragic spinal cord injury from a diving accident at Hammerman Beach and was airlifted to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. Ryan has already undergone two surgeries which revealed a crushed C5 and C6 vertebrae, and he is currently recovering from a tracheotomy surgery to help alleviate reoccurring lung infections.

In true Ryan fashion, he is fighting hard to heal his body, but as you can imagine, Ryan and his family are shocked and devastated by this turn of events. While Ryan’s prognosis is good, the extent of his complicated injuries is still unknown and only time will tell.

Swartz, as referred to by his close friends, is described as a person who always puts others first. But the time is NOW to put Ryan first. This family will undoubtedly have a long journey ahead of them, but with your help, we can provide essential funding and support so they can make their home accessible and comfortable for Ryan, assist with extensive medical expenses, or whatever this family needs to get by during this critical time.

Any small amount will help and be greatly appreciated by this family, and your generous contribution will ease this overwhelmed family and allow them to focus on giving Ryan the best care possible. As always, please continue to keep Ryan and his family in your thoughts and prayers so they know they are not alone during this difficult time.
