Lets Get Adam to Longboard Worlds in El Salvador!

Hi, my name is Juniper and me and the Groms are fundraising for our coach Adam to go to the ISA World Longboard Surfing Championship being held in Surf City, El Salvador in May.

Last weekend we all watched from home as Adam competed in the CANAM Surfing Championships in Tofino, BC. He came in 4th in longboard and is now eligible to go to Worlds! That is a really big deal for a cold water surfer living in Canada and we are so proud of Adam!

Adam paid his way to Tofino to compete and he will also be paying his way to El Salvador. He is not eligible for any national funding as longboarding isn't covered, but we don't want this to keep him from getting there.

Here's the deal... 2 years ago Adam formed the Grom Squad in Nova Scotia that we are still part of, and he really believes in our surfing and really helps each of us. He is still our coach and is still pushing us to do better all the time. He does so much for us; like mock contests, video reviews of our surfing, and he even takes us skateboarding when there is no surf, plus he schedules our grom meet-ups.

Last year, the Grom Squad; Me, Isla, Regan, Callum, Finley, Danny and Nathaniel wanted to go to Nationals in Tofino but it is super expensive and we did not have the money to go. Adam believed in us so much he started a big GO FUND ME for us and it was a big part of getting us there! We learned so much from competing!!! We were so proud to represent Nova Scotia, even though we knew we were up against surfers from BC and around the world.

We Groms come from a strong surfing community. We are growing up learning what community means and what Adam does for us is a great example.
