Let's Get Danny Some Funds!

Anyone who knows my dad, knows how much he has helped others whether it be a boat ride, fishing trip, or just being a dear friend who cares about those around him. He's a simple man and doesn't ask much for himself. So, I'm reaching out to our friends and family on his behalf to help get him some funds that will make the next few months easier on him as he recovers. He will likely be unable to work for some time and I'd like to help him by raising the funds to help cover some of the travel costs, meals, and bills that are already piling up. Always a man who has worked hard, this slowing down thing is not familiar to him and I don't want him to stress on the money if we can raise some for him. He will be driving between Port Aransas and San Antonio for this upcoming surgery and doctors appointments before staying in San Antonio for a period of time after. The funds raised will be used to help him get back and forth, meals, and any bills that we can cover for him while he's out of work. I'm sure as soon as he can, he will be back at work or wanting to go fishing or haul a boat or whatever else he loves doing down at the coast.

Danny has 3 Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms that were found by a stroke of luck. They are large, and if they don't try to fix them as soon as possible, they will rupture suddenly, and death is certain. We found an excellent surgeon in San Antonio and were immediately seen, and things are in the process of preparing for the surgery. There are cardiologist and other tests to make sure he can withstand the surgery being done. The surgeon let us know that because there being multiple aneurysms and the size and location, it was going to be a difficult surgery. He will be in the hospital in San Antonio. They are currently having to make special stents customized for him, so that's why they couldn't operate immediately. His surgery should be in about 2 weeks. Updates will be posted here by our daughter as things happen and on surgery day and recovery, and I will post when and if I can. Please pray for him.
