On January 26, 2025, I read a story in the Los Angeles Times about Danny Robinson, a beloved Altadena local who lost everything in the Eaton Fire—his home, his car collection, and his dream. The part that hit hardest? His 1986 Corvette, a car he had nearly finished restoring, reduced to ash just before it ever hit the road.

Los Angeles is a city built on dreams. Let’s give Danny his back.

Who is Danny Robinson?

Danny is a lifelong mechanic, neighbor and kind hearted soul. He grew up in Altadena, where his family planted roots after leaving the South. He’s the guy who always waved, always lent a hand, and always had something under the hood. His home wasn’t just a house—it was a haven for friends, family, and anyone who needed a place to land.

He lost four classic cars, 400 Hot Wheels, decades of family memories—but not his spirit. In the face of ruin, Danny stood tall, reminding us all that resilience lives in community.
