Let's Get Masks For London.

We are Masks 4 London - a London based collective aiming to bring education and resources to our North and South London community to aid in efforts to tackle the COVID virus and its profound effects. Alongside providing masks to protect our community members from potentially lethal or disabling infection, we also aim to educate individuals on the effects of COVID infection and disseminate up to date, scientifically backed information on the virus and effective countermeasures.

In our short time as an active Mask Bloc we have already set up a strong foundation from which to carry out our community action. Our current progress consists of pulling together a core team and successfully allocating roles to each of our team members (advocacy, admin, finance etc), creating social media platforms from which to expand our online presence and starting multiple optimistic conversations with both benefactors and social hubs looking to share masks. We have also prepared goals for the rest of the year to structure our action.

On the practical side of things, we have already begun fielding donations of over 200 FFP2/3 masks including international contributions from Ireland and America. 50 of these masks have been delivered to Lewisham Food Bank. A further 200 FFP3 masks have been pledged by The Face Mask Store in a selection of child and adult sizes.

With your support, we aim to continue to distribute masks to individuals, food banks and any organisations who may need masks to protect their community. We will also continue attempting to secure further mask donations where possible, but our aims of providing masks and education to the London community will be difficult to achieve without your support.

Mask Bloc London are requesting your generous donations to help us achieve our aims of printing and distributing educational leaflets to social hubs, and providing safe and well fitting masks to our London community members. Our current goal stands at a modest and feasible £328, and these funds will go towards the cost of 3M 9330/9320 masks, leaflet printing and postage for mask distribution.
