Let’s Get More Men Talking

My name is Emma-jane Stewart and I am a student mental health nurse. Along with my truly amazing colleagues (who I couldn’t do this fundraiser without) Stef, Kat, Kayleigh & Jodie, we collectively decided that we wanted to take a stand against raising awareness towards men’s mental health ✌️

Men’s mental health is a public health emergency that is NOT recognised as widely as it should be!

Some statistics
Did you know that in 2019 alone men aged between 45-49 had the highest suicide rate? That is 25.5 deaths per 100,000
Also in 2019 men accounted for three-quarters of suicide deaths registered which in numbers was 4,303 male deaths compared with 1,388 female deaths!!
I think it’s fair to say that we won’t ever really know the true statistics of 2020 but if these statistics do become available - we will share these

In May 2021 our aim is to walk a total of 2million steps collectively (this was originally 3million however one of the girls has suffered an injury and can no longer take part so we’re giving ourselves some leeway), please if you can, support us with this and sponsor us by donating to Andys Man Club through this go fund me page - we need all the support we can get!!

Along with this we are organising a HUGE fundraiser with prizes ranging from meal prep packages, food and drink vouchers, health and beauty vouchers, a car valet and so on - the list is huge and we honestly cannot thank every business who has kindly offered to get involved by supporting us - THANK YOU SO MUCH

More information about ANDYSMANCLUB Limited: ANDYSMANCLUB is a male suicide prevention charity. We were established in 2016 after the tragic loss of Andrew Roberts to suicide aged 23. We facilitate non professional peer to peer support groups across the Uk and Scotland for any man to attend over 18. We provide a confidential non judgemental space for men to come together to chat about anything that they would like to get off of their chest. We have no waiting list, no referral or signing in process.
