Let's Get Odin Back on His Feet

Hello! My name is Luke, and this is my beloved cat, Odin. I adopted him a few years ago from a challenging situation, and it was the best decision I've ever made. Odin means the world to me, but recently, I’ve been facing some financial struggles.

Odin's health has taken a turn for the worse. He has been limping severely on his left paw, often holding it up because of the pain. This makes it hard for him to walk comfortably. I took him to Dr. Flanders at VIP Animal Care for a thorough check-up, which included blood work and X-rays. Unfortunately, the diagnosis showed he needs surgery, which is estimated to cost around $3,000 for both paws, since Dr. Flanders also mention his right paw getting weaker & may need surgery in the near future.

Odin suffers from hyperextension of the carpal and tarsal joints, a condition that requires special care. It occurs when the ligaments that stabilize the carpal are damaged. In the meantime, I’ve put Odin in a brace, but this is just a temporary solution. After surgery, he will need to continue wearing one. Surgery is the best procedure as there is not much else you can do.

Odi-wan-kenobi loves the outdoors & saving planets from the dark side. I usually let him sniff out rabbits & hunt mice, he’s pretty good at defending my mom’s garden. We used to go on walks & he even plays fetch! He’s still young & It breaks my heart that I have to limit and restrict him.
