Let's get Ross Peters back on his feet!

Hello again,

Thank you so much for the donations that have already come in. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of so many family and friends. We could not do life without you.

I thought it would be a good time to update you all on Ross’s progress. His improvement has been beyond what we could have hoped for and you have made a difference.

Ross was admitted to Riverview on August 15th. He has literally taken his first steps and we are looking forward to all he will accomplish in therapy. For now, a highlight for Ross and Sandra has been the freedom of car rides and they can hardly wait for what is yet to come.

My name is Carm Koop. I am Ross’s sister. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

July 2nd, just one day after Ross and Sandra spent a special July 1st together picking Saskatoons and more, he had a stroke. He got up in the middle of the night and fell. The entire left side of his body wasn’t working. They quickly took him to Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach and from there was immediately sent to Winnipeg. Upon arrival at the hospital in Winnipeg they realized this was a serious stroke. There were 2 clots, one in his brain and one in his neck and he needed surgery. They said it was a difficult surgery and while there was some success, Ross is still completely paralyzed on his left side.

The good news is that we can understand Ross when he talks and he still has his crazy sense of humor. So next steps will be to move Ross back to Steinbach and get started on his physiotherapy.

Ross has a big personality and now more than ever, we need his stubbornness and determination to kick into high gear to get him walking again and your support will most certainly motivate him to do just that!!

The family will be without Ross’s income for the foreseeable future and so we are humbly asking for any help you can give. Let’s help this family focus on what’s important. Let’s help Ross LITERALLY get back on his feet. Every little bit helps and we thank you in advance.
