Let’s get Salvador to law school!

Hello friends, family, and community:

As many of you know, I am the proud son of hard-working parents who worked in agriculture across California, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

I’m a Latino immigrant, the first in my family to graduate from college, and starting my first year of law school this fall at Lewis and Clark Law in Portland, Oregon.

My pathway to pursuing law school stems from my lived experience as a former DACA recipient and my desire to shape the law and public policy.

At its core, my journey has been a service pathway but also one of compassion. It started by hosting career fairs in high school for working families who are 100% behind their kids but grapple with understanding college admissions and financial aid.

Volunteering as a medical interpreter at Grace Clinic, bridging the language barrier between provider and patient for underinsured community members. In bringing attorneys together to support my peers with DACA in community college. By testifying in support of voting rights, environmental justice policies, and education access. And four memorable years of state service for the people of Washington state.

I invite you to help, in any capacity you can, either by sharing or donating, so that I can pursue my goal of attending law school. My tuition is slated to be $46,000 for the first year (after the scholarship I received). Your contribution will bring me closer to my goal of becoming an attorney. Every penny counts!

With appreciation,
