Hi, my name is Tarah,

I'm reaching out to ask for your help for my incredible 19-year-old partner, Seth. On Monday, March 10th, our world was turned upside down when Seth's beloved 4WD was stolen right from under our noses in Coolum on the Sunshine Coast. This car is so much more than just a mode of transportation—it’s a symbol of his hard work, dedication, and love for what he’s been building for the past year.

Seth is a teenage apprentice who has poured countless hours into restoring and building his 4WD from the ground up. Every spare moment and every dollar he could scrape together went into this project. As part of his metal fabrication apprenticeship, he even built his own custom tray from scratch, applying the skills he’s been learning. This car isn't just a vehicle to him—it’s a testament to his effort, creativity, and the dream he’s been working towards.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the car was recovered on Friday, March 14th. We are beyond grateful to everyone who helped spread the word and keep an eye out—it truly means the world to us. However, the reality of what’s happened is worrying. The car was taken on a reckless joyride, driven through floodwaters, up nature strips, and used for burnouts. The damage is extensive, and right now, the car is with forensics as they investigate further.

We already know that Seth’s 4WD will need new doors, a new ignition, and new tires, as they were slashed. But we won’t know the full extent of the damage until we get it back and see what’s been stolen or broken. To make matters worse, Seth had full insurance on the car until just three weeks ago. Due to the rental crisis, he had to make the tough decision to cancel it temporarily to afford the bond on our rental. Now, we’re feeling the impact of that choice.

We’re asking for your support to help get Seth’s 4WD back on the road. The cost of repairs and parts is overwhelming, but with your help, we can bring his pride and joy back to life.
