Let me introduce myself, my name is Robert Swartz and I am a firefighter for Orange County Emergency Services District #1 / Vidor Firefighters Association. We are located in Southeast Texas and protect the cities of Vidor, Rose City, and Pine Forrest along with outlying county areas. We have been able to replace one tanker/pumper and a tanker in recent years. We were able to do this with some grant money and Department money. We still have two aging Engines and recently had to take firefighters out of service until we can get them new gear.  I have been in the fire service for many years and have never worked with a better group of people. The men and women of this department are the best and always put the needs of others ahead of their own. They have always been there for me and my family. I want to give back to them and let them know that all they sacrifice is not lost. I ask that you help me meet the goal of $250,000 this will allow us to get our firefighters some new gear, that will better protect them, so they can protect you and allow us to get at least one pumper.
