Let's Get To Gen Con
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Chris, and since 2003 I have blogged about tabletop gaming and other forms of geekery at the Dorkland! blog (http://dorkland.blogspot.com/). From 2014-2016 I wrote about games and comics for Bleeding Cool. Starting in 2016, I started writing for EN World (http://www.enworld.org/forum/content.php). This year I would like to go to Gen Con and get news and interviews with game designers and publishers to be able to give people the best in gaming coverage for the sites that I write for.
None of this is cheap, because this is the top convention for tabletop role-playing games, hotels and travel to Indianapolis from Florida (which is already not cheap) is a lot more expensive.
This GoFundMe will go to offset the expensives of travel and hotel for Gen Con, and also to allow me to pick up more games to review and talk about over the course of the next year.
This year's Gen Con will be the 50th anniversary of the convention, which means that there will be a lot of exciting things to talk about, and things to share from the convention for those who are not able to go. I always take a lot of pictures, sharing them around social media, and this year I would like to do more video blogging from the convention as well.
However, I need your help for all of this. Whether you are a gaming fan, or a gaming professional, having people being able to cover these events makes everything a lot more approachable for all of us (whether we are able to attend directly or not). Every little bit helps, and I will try to give as many shoutouts to donors as possible.
Travel will have to be booked soon, which is why I am starting this campaign in January for a convention in August. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you in advance for your help with this!
