Let’s get Wesley to LymeStop!

My name is Katie and I’d like to introduce you to my friend, Wesley. Wesley was bitten by a tick while he was fishing when he was 25 years old. He has now been suffering from chronic Lyme Disease along with more than 20 co-infections for 6 years. Unfortunately Lyme Disease and its co-infections have caused significant damage to his internal organs and Wesley now suffers from severe kidney disease and heart and liver problems. The problem with this is that it limits what treatments Wesley can use to treat Lyme. If you are unaware how Lyme and Co works, treatment is trial and error until you find the treatment that works for your body. In this case, Wesley has very limited options for what treatments will work for him without making these organs worse. So far, all of his treatments (antibiotics, rife, ozone, etc) have caused his kidneys to get worse and his symptoms in turn have become dramatically worse. He is scared and fighting for his life.

Wesley dreams of becoming well, getting married, starting a family, owning his own business and paying it forward by helping guide other Lyme patients when he is well. He told me he just wants to be a good man with the life he has left. And he has so much life left. He’s only 31.

There is a treatment that has brought significant improvement for many Lyme patients (including me!) and even complete remission for some called LymeStop. It uses magnets to lock on the immune system to the pathogens so that the immune system can do the killing. No dangerous antibiotics or medications, no hyperthermia, no IV chairs, just your body doing what it was made to do. Wesley is ready to try this treatment, knowing it is a safe option for his kidneys. Unfortunately, Wesley is up against two obstacles: he lives in Georgia and the closest treatment to him is Wisconsin and he has no cash to pay for the treatment. Before becoming ill from chronic Lyme, Wesley was a heavy equipment operator. After getting sick, he had to move back in with his mother (who is also disabled) and has been able to work.

This is where I’m stepping in and trying to raise funds for his treatment AND his travel. The treatment requires two trips and only 3 total days of treatment. We need to cover the cost of travel plus the $4800 treatment. Wesley has already had a donor cover his $500 deposit and told him to book the treatment and trust that he will find a way to raise the rest. So he did! He is booked for April! Now we need to help get him there and pay for the rest.

It truly takes a village to heal from Lyme. None of us heal without listening to and talking to thousands of other Lyme patients to figure out what worked for them. In the process we become friends with each other, we pray for each other and love each other, and when someone needs healing, we step in and do what we can to help. We need a village to step up for Wesley who has been dealt a bad set of cards. Those without cash for treatment are often stuck with no options for healing. It’s an unjust system and we shouldn’t need gofundme’s to be our health insurance coverage for Lyme treatment but this is the reality of our situation.

I leave you with a short note from Wesley:
“Hi, my name is Wesley. I’ve tried several treatments over the years only to get way worse really fast. The infections have took ahold of my kidneys heart and liver and most days I'm scared of what the future holds for me and I finally decided it's time to give this Lyme stop the most I have left and fight my way back to better health with everything I have. My finances are really not good but I am here reaching out for help to make this dream possible so my mother doesn't have to be in this world without me. I'm asking for your kindness and generosity for donations to please help me fund my treatment at Lyme stop. I have an appointment in April and it would be a god send to have this community I’ve grown to know all too well as we all struggle to find answers and a better life help me. So I can reach remission and tell my story to everyone who needs hope and faith in that true healing is possible and reachable given the chance. Please come together to help me reach this as a reality. I'm praying for this to come true through Jesus and through people with good hearts so I can repay the favor to help as many people as I can when I get better so I don't pass away. Thank you, God bless you, and keep faith in God, never give in or up to these monsters we have to live with... 3:16.”

Thank you for your generosity in paving a way for Wesley to get treatment. It takes a village.
In gratitude,
Katie
