Let's Get Whitney a Wig!

*This fund's deadline is August 10th - We will be giving the donations to Whitney on that date*

Our sweet Whitney is halfway done with chemo, woohoo!!

She has been blessed with the opportunity to cold-cap throughout her chemo journey - this allows the possibility for her to keep a lot of her existing hair, as well as help her regrow hair quicker after treatments are done. Although the cold-capping has been successful, she has lost most of the hair on top of her head; this is common with the strong type of chemo she is getting. She has been wearing hats and scarves to try and cover up the baldness, but they aren't very breathable and are difficult as an everyday option.

So much of cancer is the mental aspect, and a wig would be such a great gift to get Whitney back to feeling somewhat like herself - especially for this upcoming half of her chemo and surgery journey. The reality is, she will need to wear a wig for the next 1 to 2 years. There are many wigs on the market, but given this will be something she wears every single day for the next couple of years, we'd love to get her one that is realistic (human hair), custom fitted for comfort, and most importantly, highly breathable to protect the hair she still has remaining. There is an awesome company out of California (The Wig Fairy) that checks all of those boxes and is highly versed in wig fits/options for cancer patients. Since this is such a high-quality product, it does come with a higher price tag. Whitney mentioned she did have an online consultation with them, but has been skeptical to pull the trigger because of the price tag.

Many of you reading this have so kindly asked what you can do to help from the start of this cancer diagnosis. Whitney has diligently taken care of every medical bill so she is covered there. However, a custom wig is a great opportunity to step in and show her our support by gifting her the ability to keep her spirits lifted so she can quickly get back to the globe-traveling and line-dancing Whitney we all know and love!

This is meant to be an uplifting gift to Whitney from her network of family and friends. Please pass this Go Fund Me page on to anyone you think would like to contribute, but please do not share on social media as this isn't meant to be a charity ask.

If you wish to donate via another form of payment, you may Venmo Whitney's sister, Erin. Her Venmo handle is: @Erin-Greeno-1

If you prefer to not use any online forms of payment and wish to send cash or check through the mail, please reach out to Jessica at (Two Five One - Six Zero Nine - One One Six Seven) to obtain the best mailing address.

Thank you all!
