Let’s give Cachirulo a helping abrazo!!!

"Dear tangueros,

It seems these many months of quarantine, masks, lockdowns and social distancing is still a little far from ending.

As you know the many hard working organizers and hosts of our beloved milongas are now finding themselves in some difficult times.
Not only are they deprived of the shared love and gratification of creating those magical nights of dancing for us all, they are now deprived in some cases of the main (if not the only) income they had.
It is obvious that some milonga organizers are dealing with terrible financial losses and the uncertainty of when they will be able to reopen.

This is why we’ve decided to create a GO-Fund to help our beloved Héctor and Norma (los “Cachirulos), during this very stressful time. For Hector and Norma the loss of their weekly social interactions is an added stress along with the now deep financial hardship.

We believe this is a good way to give back some of the love and care they have shown us all; their “regulars” from BA and those from afar.

The time is now to show our support and help them get through these difficult days.

Every contribution (big or small) will help them recover some of their losses and live through whatever is left of the quarantine.

One day this craziness will end, and they will be able to again create the magic milongas we so dearly miss. That day hopefully is near. When the time comes we will be together, ready to shout out loud the “mantra”: “Palo, y a la bolsa”!!!!!

En estos días, sobra comentar que la cuarentena y el aislamiento se han extendido más de lo que cualquier pudo imaginar en marzo, cuando la actividad del tango se paralizó (voluntariamente, y antes que el resto de los rubros de la economía).

Y, como todos sabemos, la parálisis de la actividad genera enormes perjuicios económicos para todos los que organizan, promueven y nos dan la bienvenida en sus milongas, para que podamos disfrutar de los abrazos, los amigos, la música y la alegría de vivir.

Por esta razón, y ante la incertidumbre de no saber cuándo podrán retomar su actividad con normalidad, es que hemos abierto esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar, a nuestros queridos Héctor y Norma (Los Cachirulos), a atravesar este momento en el que, además de verse imposibilitados de compartir tiempo con su gente querida, se suma el stress de no poder generar ingresos para vivir con tranquilidad.

Estamos seguros de que esta es una buena manera de retribuirles el amor con el que desde hace tantos años nos abren las puertas de su milonga y sus corazones, y demostrarles que estamos presentes, codo a codo, espalda con espalda para acompañarlos en las difíciles tanto como para disfrutarlos en las buenas.

La contribución que cada uno desee hacer es totalmente voluntaria, y será transferida directamente a los Cachirulos para que recuperen parte del lucro cesante de estos casi 5 meses, y puedan esperar el momento en el que, por fin, podamos volver a reunirnos todos y a la voz de “aura” gritar todos juntos “Palo, y a la bolsa!”
