Let's give Hooper a second chance at LIFE!

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. My name is Morgan; I am Hooper's mom. My husband, two sons and I rescued Hooper from Lakeside Animal Rescue. He is a Retriever/Shepard mix and also feels like a teddy bear, so soft! He has been in our family for 6 weeks now! It has indeed been an adventure in these last few weeks.

We learned last week that Hooper was born with a heart defect known as PDA, Patent Ductus Arteriosus.

If not corrected by a surgical procedure, the Veterinarian has told us that he cannot survive this condition.

With open heart surgery he has an over 95% success rate to have a normal healthy life.

He was cleared medically from the rescue when we adopted him with no known issues. We are crowdfunding because as a family of four we do not have the funds or have had time to save up to be able to get him this surgery. The medical professionals have said the cost could be at least $4200. We have already had $800 in medical bills stemming from this.
