Let's give our $200 rebate to the ones in need
Donation protected
The Ford government thinks that giving everyone in Ontario $200 ONCE is going to solve the housing crises or the rising costs of living and bribe you for their next vote. That 3.3 million dollars spent on sending cheques to every Ontarian with a mailing address (including the rich) could have been spent on helping the unhoused people in our community. The unfortunate reality is that these cheques can only be sent to people with a valid home address and proof of residency; that doesn't include unhoused people or anyone who has no proof of residency.
I say we collect all of our $200 rebates and instead of buying stuff we don't REALLY need, we can give it to the people who need it the most.
I'm asking anyone who doesn't absolutely need this money to survive to please help by redistributing this money back into to the community and actually help us DO something about this increasing poverty issue.
Our goal:
-We want to give 200 people $200 towards basic necessities
-To do what the government is unwilling to do
Thank you for reading and I hope you want to make a meaningful impact like we do.
