Lets GO NGO Project
The Equal Rights Working Group of AEGEE Europe is concerned about the situation of NGOs and voluntary organizations that are part of civil society. Humanitarian organizations are helping out with many of the challenges that Europe is facing nowadays, for example by providing aid to migrants and refugees or by representing and striving for the rights of minorities across the continent.
The project consist on wo youngsters appointed by the ERWG that will travel to the East of Europe for 10 days with an train pass granted by Interrail, which is one of the partners of the project. In the different stops along the way, they will meet volunteers from NGOs working in a wide range of fields such as Human Rights, LGBT+, minorities, etc.
During the meetings the travelers will interview volunteers and exchange some experiences, share good practises and get to know the work of the NGO itself. In order to spread the humanitarian work they are doing, one article will be published perNGO visited plus one article per country describing the general situation of Human Rights . The articles will
be published on platforms accessible to everyone and will describe the reality of the non-governmental sector in the countries visited.
The aim of the project is then to get acquainted with the situation of NGOs: what are the struggles they face every day? How successful are their projects? What are plans for the future do they
have?
