Lets Help Afghan HCW During COVID-19 Pandemic
Dr. A.S. Ashrafi, a Thoracic Surgeon in BC Canada, and I, Dr. Zarlasht A, a Pediatric specialist in Canada are raising this fund.
Please join us raise funds to help doctors and healthcare providers in Afghanistan during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tough times are ahead as Afghanistan is facing multiple crises, and now this pandemic. Afghanistan is in lockdown and these measures have already taken a heavy toll on many families.
One of the main concerns in Afghanistan is a crucial shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers (HCW). Those who can afford buy their own PPE for $8-10 a day. Their salaries only cover two weeks worth of PPE supplies. Many HCWs with little means fight in the frontline without adequate PPE risking their own lives and lives of their families. Already, 5 young doctors in Kabul have succumbed to this deadly virus.
With your generous donations, we can support the healthcare workers with their PPE. Collectively, we have helped many Afghans in need in the last few years. I believe we can do it again. We will make sure that your donations reach the most vulnerable and deserving doctors, nurses and other allied health workers in Kabul.
Thank you in advance for your contribution!
