Let's Help And Support Dean And His Family Now!

My brother Dean and his family were hit hard last month. Dean was diagnosed with cancer and, needless to say, this has turned their world into disarray. And just as things were moving and a treatment plan finalized, Dean suffered a major stroke at home which landed him back in the ICU. So…on top of cancer treatment, which is just beginning, there is the added burden and expense of rehab from the effects of the stroke. It’s a lot.
Dean is a well known and respected Theater Teacher and regional Theater Director in Lancaster County, PA and his wife Lauren is a Musical Theater Artistic Producer. Their daughter Piper is an actor in the area as well (go figure!) appearing regularly at the American Music Theater, The Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre and The Fulton in Lancaster city among others. She is currently appearing in the AMT’s annual Christmas show.
Anyone who knows Dean knows he’s a big personality. You know when he comes into a room. He’s incredibly funny, refreshingly genuine and a super likable Extrovert with a capital E. He ain’t shy! He’s an animal lover too. And he’s also dedicated and passionate about his profession and has that “Sobon” gene which makes him very independent and consequently very stubborn - so this kind of thing - the help? The Go-Fund-Me? Not exactly his thing. But these are crazy times and he and his family, our family, could sure use some help.
They do have coverage but with medical insurance being what it is today and when something like this strikes a household - there are just SO many unexpected expenses. Already the bills are adding up for rehab, scans and doctor visits and of course daily life at home continues. You still need to go food shopping and do household chores. To repeat - it’s a lot.
I’m hoping this campaign can lessen their financial burden a bit and ease some of the money worries so they can focus on treatment rather than expenses.
Thanks!
