Let’s help Anne get to Johns Hopkins!

Hi Everyone, I’m Kathy, Anne Thornbury’s sister. I am raising money for my sister, my rock, always the healthy one of the family!

On February 2, 2023, Anne woke up to an unbelievable problem. Her legs were numb and she could not walk! An ambulance risked her off to the hospital starting a long arduous medical journey, which still continues today. 

She has endured many different tests and procedures, and continues the testing in hopes of getting some answers. The doctors are “guessing” she has Transverse Myelitis," however no definitive diagnosis has been made. 

Those who know Anne, know she is a fighter. Her attitude is positive and she continues to believe and answer will be found for her illness!

Anne has remained working through this difficult time. You may have seen her pushing her rollator around The Kentucky Horsepark during pony finals. She is so thankful for the generosity of her employer! They have been very accommodating, however she is losing her job at the end of the year.

I am hoping we can get enough funds to send Anne to John’s Hopkins, for answers and guidance. They are the center of excellence for neurological treatments. Anne also needs living expenses ( all the labs say thank you!), and I would love to get her an adapted vehicle so she can drive herself to appointments.
