Hello! My name is Benjámin Micskó. I was born on 20.02.2020, to the great joy of my parents. I am a wonderful, cheerful, curious, ever-moving little boy. Grapes are my sign in kindergarten.

The end of last year drove our lives in a completely new direction. My mother was bothered by the fact that I still could not jump, my movements are a bit clumsy, I point my toes a lot and she was afraid that I would be avoided by other children who would make fun of me, so we visited a developer physiotherapist, a General Practitioner and a neurologist. On December 13th it was found out that I suffer from a serious , currently incurable Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It means that, due to a genetic defect, my body not only does not produce the protein called dystrophin, which is necessary for muscle building, but also breaks down my existing muscles in an insidious way. Unfortunately, this may mean that I end up in a wheelchair before I'm 10 years old, and then I may end up on a ventilator due to the involvement of my respiratory muscles. Please help me so that I can get the current only official treatment, the gene therapy, which has only been approved in USA so far.
