Lets Help Benji Pay His Rent!
Donation protected
The other day I met Benji while at the gas station. I saw he was selling shoe shines and despite not having enough money for a shoe shine, Benji shined my shoes. While he was working, I got to hear his story.
Benji has had polio since he was one year old. After he broke his ankle, the doctors say he had to remain in his wheelchair at all times because his bones are so frail that they'll break if he tries to walk. His shoe shine business is his craft and it's what he loves to do, but some days no one comes and he's left struggling to pay his rent and his bills. His wife died in 2022 and he's been struggling on his own since. Benji told me that despite his desire to work and his love of his work, it's been sporadic because of a series of health issues he's had with his kidneys as well.
I say we come together and try to bless Benji beyond his wildest dreams. My hope is that we can rally around Benji show him our love and donate to him so he doesn't have to worry about paying his bills. I hope it allows him to work from a place of rest and comfort so he can enjoy his work every day and no longer worry!
