Let's Help Bonnie Stay in Her Home!

Hi, my name is Diana. I am one of Bonnie Towner's 22,000+ followers on Twitter. As many of you know Bonnie brings us all a tremendous amount of cheerfulness and joy with her Tweets about the many animals she rescues. Up until now, Bonnie, a retired widow, was surviving on her social security benefits and her deceased husband's VA retirement benefits. Two days ago, Bonnie didn't receive the VA benefits for this month that she has been receiving for 17 years. When she called to find out where the payment was, Bonnie was informed that she will no longer receive the VA retirement benefits as she receives social security benefits. Bonnie relies on both in order to pay her most basic needs. There is no extra each month.

Bonnie is independent and a huge animal lover. She regularly rescues abandoned kittens found at the back of her property. She has rescued baby birds and currently shares updates on the rescues that continue to live with her - Patch, the dog, Marvin, the Starling, and her two cats. Despite how tight her budget is, her home is always a safe haven for abandoned animals. She will rescue and care for injured animals and release them or bring them to a shelter or sometimes they become family members.

This fundraiser is to help Bonnie make ends meet since the VA benefits have been abruptly terminated. This can also serve as a cushion should Bonnie experience any emergencies. The goal is to provide Bonnie with money for 12 months, which will give her time to figure out a different solution should she need to.
