Let’s help Caitie Conquer Cancer

On the 29th of January, Caitlyn Farnsworth and her family were given the life-altering news that at 17, Caitlyn has ovarian cancer. Just 2 days later, Caitlyn and her Mum, Trish, were flown to the Royal Women’s hospital in Melbourne for her journey to begin.

Caitlyn is an intelligent, funny, resilient, quiet achiever. Caitlyn has dux almost every year of her schooling, and is to commence year 12 this year. She loves music, especially heavy metal, art, gaming, her beloved dogs, and spending time with her family - Mum Trish, Dad Ryan, and younger sister Megan.

But most of all, she is a kind, loving, thoughtful soul who brightens our lives.

Caitlyn has now been transferred to the amazing Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where further tests and treatment are underway before she begins chemotherapy. While this is just the beginning of Caitie’s journey, she is already proving to be so strong, determined and mature in her approach.

In times like these Caitlyn’s tight-knit community have always come together. Now we are reaching out to those who have asked “what can we do?”. This GoGundMe has been established as an opportunity to support Caitlyn and her family in a meaningful, tangible way. Contributions will go towards travel, accommodation and medical expenses during Caitlyn’s treatment. This will help ease the financial burden, allowing her family to focus their time and energy on Caitlyn’s health and recovery.
