Let Us Help Carl Anderson

Our friend and leader at Delta Air Lines is going through some significant and life threatening health issues. Carl was admitted to the hospital in mid June after an abnormal CATH procedure that showed his heart beating at a very weak rate. His heart wasn't pumping blood through his body strong enough. He was given a IV medication to help his heart to pump stronger. The medication is meant to stabilize the congestive heart failure. Carl will need to have a heart transplant due to the weak condition and function of his heart. Carl was recently transferred from Piedmont Hospital to Emory due to their Center of Excellence status. He had his first appointment with his new cardiologist on 7/18. He will undergo multiple evaluations soon for the transplant procedure. This procedure and other miscellaneous cost will be significant as his family faces this challenge over the course of his treatments. UHC has a great program in place that will cover the transplant procedure after his personal deductible is met. However, there are several other out of pocket costs that his family will experience throughout this journey, and your financial assistance is certainly appreciated. Carl is supported by his wife of 14 years Felicia and four kids: Caitlyn (13), Carl Jr. (11), Christa (9), and Camren (8). Carl is the Manager of Employee Recognition at Delta in Atlanta. He started his career as a Ready Reserve agent in Huntsville, Alabama, and worked his way through 7 different cities, including managing the Norfolk, Birmingham and Cincinnati stations, before being selected to lead the employee recognition team in Atlanta. He has directly touched many Delta employees, recognizing the many great faces of Delta and helping to make it the great place it is today. I hope you will join with me to help a dear friend and colleague!
