Help Dakota fight Leukemia
Donation protected
Hey,
My name is Dave and my husband Dakota was recently diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of Leukemia.
It’s been a lot and it's been very sudden - we went from a normal visit to the doctor to diagnosis and the start of a month long stay in the hospital in the span of two days. It’s been a roller coaster of information and emotions and uncertainty.
We hit our yearly out of pocket max the first night in the hospital. Thank goodness for insurance, but it’s still a lot of money to come up with out of nowhere.
His treatment plan is very intense and there's going to be a lot of hospital stays for chemo, a lot of labs being taken, and a lot of clinic visits, probably for the next several years, with a high likelihood of a bone marrow transplant with a very lengthy recovery in his future.
We are asking for help in order to aid in paying our bills, insurance deductibles, as well as other cancer related expenses. He is not in any condition to work in a fatigued and immunocompromised state and there is only so much extra we can do to make ends meet.
Any amount helps and all is appreciated. I know there are a lot of folks struggling and even if you can’t afford to donate, sharing our page to more people could help us get the word out there and get closer to our goal.
I love my husband so much and it pains me to not be able to support him without loading on even more debt.
We will keep you updated with his progress and are just hoping to beat this as quickly and painlessly as possible.
