Let’s help David Portillo

Hi friends, We, Robert and Glenn, have been best friends with David Portillo since high school and know he wouldn’t want us to do this, but we feel this is a time to reach out since our good friend Is in a very tough position in his life right now. Dave have been taking care of his mother for the last 10 years in a rented house in Bloomington, California. Dave is experiencing his mom’s memory rapidly deteriorating. She has recently been leaving the house while Dave is at work and been getting lost or picked up by the police. After the third time, the authorities have ordered Dave to stay home with her until she gets the diagnosis from the State to get her the help she needs. He has not been able to work for the last two months to by her side. He still has another one to two months of meandering through the system before they may get hers the help she needs. In addition, David is battling his own health issues with a severe case of Vertigo coming in and out of his life, which took him out of work for several months until his diagnosis was finally figured out by the Veteran’s emergency room doctor. Dave was a medic in many theaters of war and we all know he has helped save many lives while he has put his own on the line. Now it is time for us to find it in all of our hearts to help him.
