Let's Help Debbie In Her Recovery

Hey, We're doing this to help our friends Debbie and Dewayne.

Last Sunday, December 11, they joined a group bicycle ride about town to see the lights, and the Zilker and Capitol trees, and overall enjoy the holiday spirit.

Unfortunately, Debbie took a nasty, nasty fall on her town bike and was knocked unconscious for about 10 minutes. A friend EMS was with them and helped stabilize and triage her while an ambulance arrived. She had an MRI and CT scan at the trauma ward at Dell Ascension and was released about four to five hours after that.

She has a bad concussion and a hairline fracture of her orbital socket. As of today (Wednesday, December 14), she's still suffering from pain, vertigo, and nausea.

Here's the thing: This is a particularly awful time to have this happen. I don't just mean because of the holidays. Dewayne recently lost his job to a turn in the market for his industry, and whatever expenses outside insurance may cover may not cover all their out-of-pocket costs.
