Let’s help Dot Larsen on her road to recovery

Always a smile and a gentle wave with Dot’s stop sign would turn your frown upside down in the mornings and afternoons. Her watchful eyes have assisted several generations of children to cross King Street safely for 35 years!
In May of this year, our sweet Dot suffered an acute obstruction that required emergency surgery to address. She continues the long process of healing in the Charlotte County Hospital where she has been for several weeks. It’s still unclear how long her recovery will require her to remain in hospital. As a result of her hospitalization, Dot’s doctors have identified a number of ongoing, chronic conditions for which she will require long-term treatment and additional surgery. Dot is living with cancer.
She also suffered a clot in her foot that may have life-long implications for her mobility. Despite what she has been through, Dot remains steadfastly positive. She is thankful for the professionalism, expertise, and warmth of her care providers, and she is forever grateful for the love and kindness of her community.
Dot is a family friend and she has no family in the area, so myself and family have taken her under our wings. Dot is 84 years old, DOB July 19, 1938.
Once the funds are deposited into my account, I will promptly transfer to Dot's account as we bank at the same Bank, BMO in St. Stephen, NB. I have been in discussions with the Bank Manager and she is going to assist. Dot can not longer work or live on her on, and these funds are going to assist in her home and medical care.
