Let's help Irving and his Family

Donation protected
This GoFundMe is being created by those who love and want to support our brother in blue, Irving Garcia, affectionately known as “Bully” by his co-workers and SWAT teammates. Irving is a loving husband and father of 4 children. He is larger than life, has a huge heart, and always puts others before his own needs. Irving started his career as a police officer with the Santa Rosa Police Department. He then went to work for the Hidalgo Police Department as a School Resource Officer and K9 officer. He has been a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office since 2016. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, he has served as a patrol deputy, Field Training Officer and with the Special Operations Division in Narcotics. He recently received a promotion to the Criminal Investigation Division where he investigates crimes against persons. Irving is a member of the Sheriff’s Office Color Guard and a member of the Hidalgo County SWAT Team as a sniper. Irving is a true leader with aspirations of one day becoming a supervisor. Irving has committed his life to serving and protecting others and now it is our turn to help our brother in blue.
On October 13, 2022, Irving suffered a major stroke leaving him with the inability to speak or move the right side of his body. This tragic and life-changing event has left his future uncertain. Doctors have performed several surgeries, which have helped his condition, but there is still much to be done. Irving is currently off of a feeding tube and has shown positive progress. In hopes and prayers of continued progress, as long as there are no complications, Irving will soon begin his long journey toward rehabilitation. Irving has a warrior mindset and has never quit in the face of any challenge, and this one will be no exception. Although he can’t speak right now, we all know that look of determination on his face and we know he is saying he is ready to face the challenges of rehabilitation head-on. While the road to recovery will be long and arduous, we are seeing signs of improvement and we pray for his continued progress.
Irving’s loving wife, Andrea, is also a Deputy with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. She has been by Irving’s side around the clock. In the midst of checking Irving into the emergency room, Andrea has already incurred a charge for Irving’s medical bills of one thousand dollars. The medical and therapy costs continue to rise daily. In an effort to ease the burden of the rising cost of the medical treatments and therapy that are so needed for Irving’s recovery, we are asking for your help in providing support for Irving and his family. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in his journey to recovery.
Every dollar raised from this GoFundMe will go directly to Irving and his family.
Thank you for your contribution and together we can help one of our own, a hero to his family, friends, and community.
