One of my very best friends JC, has been diagnosed with cancer. I really need your help to help him out!! He is one of the sweetest souls on earth.
On June 4th, 2022 JC noticed that his right testicle was swollen. Like, really really swollen. On the 5th, He went to an urgent care to check it out, and on the 6th, He was with a Urologist to investigate. They did some testing and an ultrasound which did show a tumor growing and that tumor cells were in his blood. On June 14th, JC found himself on a surgeon's table and woke up with his right testicle and the tumor attached removed.
After a highly stressful wait for him and his family, on June 30th, it was confirmed the Tumor was, in fact, Testicular Cancer. With more blood work and scanning, JC was classified as a stage 2A. This requires him to get a pretty aggressive chemotherapy regimen called BEP, which will take at least 9 consecutive weeks with no complications could very well last longer. All this bad news, the good news is that his prognosis is good and he is expected to make a full recovery.
His job has been absolutely fantastic and supportive of him with all of this, but He is still pretty new, and all of his leave was used during surgery and the discovery process . Worst of all, he does not have any short term disability offered. He works in a public building, so with his immune system compromised especially with Covid, he will be trapped at home unable to do his job. So for at least the next 10 week minimum he will be unable to do his job and will not be collecting any income. He did not want me to do this for him.
He did everything He could to avoid it. I'm not looking to get him rich just to keep a roof over his head and keep his bills paid so he is able to focus on his recovery. So any help is appreciated. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your love and support!!
