Let’s Help Jodi on her Healing Journey
Donation protected
On Halloween 2022, our big sister Jodi received the scary news that she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Through testing and doctor visits that followed, she learned it was stage 3B and would require several months of chemo, followed by radiation treatments, and then surgery to remove the tumor.
The initial treatment costs are already $8,000 with more medical expenses to come, and that doesn’t include the surgery.
Her oncologist is hopeful Jodi’s cancer can be cured through this treatment plan, but it’s not going to be easy and she needs help. The medical expenses are overwhelming, and on top of that, she is often too sick from her treatments to work, so donations for day-to-day expenses would be appreciated as well.
If you know Jodi, you know she’s a kind-hearted and gentle soul. As a caretaker for physically and developmentally disabled adults, she generously gives of her time and energy not expecting anything in return.
Her pride and joy are her son, daughter-in-law and two school-aged grandsons who enjoy having sleepovers at Grandma’s house, doing crafts and getting spoiled with love. Jodi is also a doting cat-mom to Monty and Princess, but sadly had to send her fur baby Suki over the rainbow bridge the night of her first chemo session.
There will be an in-person fundraising event this spring to raise money for her surgery (details to come). In the meantime, this is going to be a long battle for Jodi. If you could find it in your heart to make a donation to help with medical and personal expenses that have already been incurred, it would go a long way to ease her stress and help on her healing journey.
Thank you for your kind generosity,
Kristin and Nicole
