JB is still suffering from the effects of the chemotherapy which has led to a set back in his recovery. He was just released from the hospital where he received evaluation and testing and needs to follow up with his treatment. He is having trouble with his balance and has to walk with a cane and is suffering from depression. JB still needs our help financially for the medical bills that are piling up. JB wants to thank everyone who has contributed to his fundraiser. His recovery has been slow, and he still needs more help. He cannot work due to his memory loss from “Chemo Brain”. He cannot create his artwork, which can lead to depression. The bills continue to pile up, and so does the stress.

This fundraiser is for John Bilecky “JB” an award-winning commercial photographer- producer – director – artist who has fallen on hard times. Over the years, he has worked with many racing greats, top models, musicians and art directors.

In December 2021, while driving for UBER/Lift, he was hit broadside by a Pittsburgh Police car in the hot pursuit of a criminal. He was sent to the hospital with a broken collar bone, and after doing X-Rays, they discovered that he had Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Osteoarthritis. He has undergone chemotherapy treatments and is now in remission. JB has been sober for 32 years, and it is much harder for recovering alcoholics from dealing with the effects of chemotherapy because of their sensitivity to drugs. Since the treatments, he has developed problems with muscle loss, balance issues and ‘chemo brain’.

On June 30th, after doing some at-home physical therapy exercises, his knees went out, and he collapsed three times. He could not stand up and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, where he underwent a series of tests. The doctors determined that he had overdone his workout and that his legs had atrophied to the point where they would not support his weight, and his knees gave in.

Unable to work, JB has accumulated thousands of dollars of debt from medical bills and living expenses that he cannot pay. He needs to continue his physical therapy, follow-up appointments with specialists, and all that costs money.

The Pittsburgh police were at fault in the accident, but JB has not received any compensation and PA law limits the amount that can be collected from them. It is unknown how long this will take or how much he will get.

Right now, JB needs our help. He needs to remove the financial stress that he is going through and concentrate on healing and getting back on his feet. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
