Help Jonathan battle cancer
Donation protected
Jonathan was diagnosed with Stage 4 paraganglioma cancer, with mets to his lungs and bones. He will be undergoing high dose radiation therapy, and then chemotherapy to follow. The best case scenario is <50% five year survival rate.
If you are able, please support Jonathan. The donations will be used toward his treatments, diagnostics, and other unforeseen expenses. Thank you in advance for anything you are able to contribute to a dear friend, colleague, son, brother, father and husband. May God bless Jonathan, and all of you as well.
Here are Jonathan's words from a few days ago:
For someone who is about to go through radiation and chemotherapy, knowing fully well how it
is going to wreck my body, I am going into it in the best position that I can be.
I am happy that I am with my wife and son, my mom and step dad, my friends, and so many supporters near and far, people whom I have not seen or heard from in ages, neither time nor distance prevent them from coming in love, prayers, healing light, healing energies, thoughts and so much more.
My world was constrained, small, only a few days ago. But in a matter of days, the world has opened up once again. And all the stresses that I had harbored which manifested into physical tightness and pain in my body for months has melted away.
Just like in the start of a race, my body feels loose, my eyes are clear, my mind is focused, and I am ready to take the hits only to rise again. In my 100 mile ultramarathon runs, I take every step of the way, but it is my “crew” and “pacers” that help me in my times of need. I am nourished, hydrated, guided and loved by them.
It is no different now. My resolve is strong and so is my team. I’m gonna go into these treatments accepting that it may or may not buy me more time. The time is immaterial. I am healed in so many ways. My life has come full circle and I am complete. I am happy and at peace.
The most important lesson in this journey that I want you to know, is that your time is finite. Therefore there is much room for healing, sharing, loving by simply focusing on the gifts of every day, of the things you love to do surrounded by the people you love.
