Let's help JR leave a legacy of love for his son
Donation protected
On Saturday, June 5th at 11:30pm JR went downtown to visit his friends for a bit. He told Katie (his Smalls) he would be home in a couple of hours. That couple of hours has turned into forever because of the senseless actions of a killer. JR lost his life and leaves behind his partner-in-life and best friend Katie and her daughter Eloise. He also leaves behind his mom Laneice, sister Shay and brother Isaiah who he loved and cared deeply for. His many friends were "family" to him as well and there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. JR also leaves behind his unborn son who will arrive in early November.
Many of you have asked how you can help, which is why we find ourselves here. The truth is, we don’t even know all that the family will need in order to bring JR’s son into the world and move forward with their lives without JR here to help them. We do know there are a lot of end-of-life expenses in addition to funeral costs for JR…and then there’s the preparing for baby Banks.
JR leaves a legacy of love…he turned strangers into friends and friends into family. Even in the smallest of moments JR had a bigger impact on people's lives than he would ever know. I'm sure he's watching over everyone now from his higher perch.
JR would probably say all this better by simply saying “Help My Smalls and Extra Smalls out for me…Would Ya?”
Your donation will be greatly appreciated and humbly accepted.
